2008 AHNC Beijing Meeting was Successfully Held

Three Parties, IGRS work team, Japan ECHONET, and Korea Home Network Forum held AHNC Beijing meeting in Beijing on December 5. Representatives of three countries conducted annual report release activity of 2007. Meanwhile, they made a notification on work progress and plan of AHNC. GUO Chenguang, section chief of Standardization Administration of the People’s Republic of China, and representatives and experts from Japanese and Korean enterprises, like TOSHIBA and ETRI.

At the meeting, China, Japan and Korea gave a full introduction for every country’s development situation from angles of standard technology, market development and policy background. Decision was made at the meeting that in 2009, the three organizations will hold digital home network technology and paper release activity and products show. In addition, experts had technology communication in home medicare, energy management, and media. IGRS members had a speech titled about home medicare technology in University of Science and Technology Beijing. The speech was paid much attention to by representatives. Three Parties expressed they would exchange information seasonally every year. The content includes relevant technology standard progress, market promotion, policy, and products application in digital home field to make information timely and correct. As a result, cooperation among three Parties is strengthened. Meanwhile, three Parties will pursue technology cooperation point so as to start detail program cooperation.

Success of the meeting means continuous depth in cooperation of three organizations of AHNC. Under AHNC framework, through cooperation among organizations, interoperation and application development among three standards would be speeded up, and take a favorable position in international competition. Moreover, through cooperation with global technology standard organizations, IGRS standard internationalization will be further promoted.
